I’m heading to meet my photo tour group in Split, Croatia! We’ll be boarding a 40-passenger luxury yacht on Saturday and spending the next 7 nights touring and photographing the Dalmatian coast. Our tour concludes in the ancient city of Dubrovnik. I’m very excited to meet my clients and help them discover creative travel photography techniques.

Photograph the iconic white sand dunes and yuccas of White Sands National Park November 4-7, 2021 while learning new photography techniques to create fine-art landscapes. This instructional photo safari includes early entry/late exit to the National Park so we can be there for twilight/blue hour and night sky photography.
Each participant will receive personal attention in the field during the shooting sessions. I will also provide “ask me anything” post-processing lessons and one on one support each day to all attendees. Topics will include the use of Lightroom & Photoshop for color and black and white image processing. We will also have group photo reviews and critique sessions.
The first time I visited Badlands National Park, I was on a week-long photo tour with members of the Nikonians photographic community. It was 2005, and it was my first “real” photo experience with a digital camera, my brand-new Nikon D2x. I had two (!) 4GB memory cards in total, and I still remember the challenge of making the transition from film (fixed ISOs and slow shutter speeds) to digital.
