I’m offering three international photo tours for 2020, and they are going to be really fun! My 2020 travel photography workshop destinations include Croatia, Ireland, and Panama. I design each of these tours with your comfort in mind, and my goal is to make sure that you return home with incredible photos. Group sizes are generally capped at 12 or fewer photographers, and when land tours are involved, we’ll have a private driver and excess seating capacity so that everyone has room for their camera bags. My international tours are a great opportunity to learn mobile workflow and creative travel photography techniques, including long exposure, infrared, and creative composition.

Rainforest Wildlife of Panama: April 5-11, 2020
Discover a diversity of wildlife on Isla Bastimentos, located on the western Caribbean coast of Panama (Bocas del Toros region). You’ll have the opportunity to photograph birds, sloths, lizards, and insects while staying in the comfort of an air-conditioned eco lodge. You’ll also have the opportunity to enjoy the amenities at the lodge, including snorkeling, sea kayaking, and the 100′ canopy observation tower.
There are over 200 rainforest species to photograph on-site at the eco lodge, including multiple species of hummingbirds. Additionally, this safari includes a one-day boat tour along the Snyder Canal, built in the 1890s to transport banana crops. Here we’ll be able to photograph shorebirds, marsh/wetlands species, raptors, and kingfishers. We’ll also be on the lookout for brown boobies and red-billed tropicbirds on their rookery island.
Jason’s 2020 Panama wildlife photography tour is round trip from Panama City, and includes lodging, meals, and air transfers between Panama City and Bocas del Toros. You’ll also have free time in Panama City to visit the canal zone and the old city center.
Croatia by Sea Photo Tour: April 23-May 3, 2020
Croatia is quickly becoming one of the top travel destinations in Europe. Located on the eastern shore of the Adriatic Sea, Croatia’s coast offers a warm mediterranean climate, beaches and islands, and medieval walled cities to explore. Our unique photo tour begins in the coastal city of Split. After two nights exploring Split, we board a chartered yacht (38 passengers, max) and spend the next seven nights cruising and exploring the coastal islands of Croatia. Unlike most cruises, our tour sails in the morning and stays in port overnight, meaning we’ll be able to explore each town together and capture images during sunset and twilight. The tour ends in Dubrovnik, the walled city made famous in Game of Thrones.
Southern Ireland Photo Tour: Sept. 14-23, 2020
My 2018 Ireland tour was so much fun that I have arranged a tour to return to the emerald isle in 2020. This tour is round trip from Dublin, Ireland. After three nights exploring Dublin, we’ll board our private, 18-passenger van (max group size is 12) for a tour of the southern countryside. Overnight stays include Kilkenny, Killarney, Ennis (County Clare) and Trim (County Meath).
You’ll enjoy 4-star accommodations and our private guide will take us to the best locations for photography each day. This tour is the perfect workshop to learn mobile workflow, and I’ll be demonstrating the use of Lightroom for iPad. It’s also the perfect location to bring your infrared camera to capture some incredible and unique photographs.
