I was pleasantly surprised to discover that my image “Sunrise at Maroon Lake, Aspen, CO” was chosen as this week’s Picture of the Week at HDRcreme.com.

This was a 5-shot HDR merge that I processed in Nik Software’s HDR Efex Pro. I used the “Natural Landscapes” preset that Tony Sweet and I developed for our eBook, The Photographer’s Guide to HDR Efex Pro. I finished off the processing in Nikon’s Capture NX 2 (sharpening and a little CEP3 Tonal Contrast), but the majority of the processing was done in HDR Efex Pro.
